Wilmington may be a city in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, us. The Middlesex Canal seasoned Wilmington. Chartered in 1792, opened in 1803, it provided freight and traveler transport between the river and Bean Town. One necessary load on the canal was hops. From the center of the eighteenth century till the first nineteenth century, Massachusetts was the acknowledged leader in hop production in North America. Middlesex County specially was celebrated for its hop yards, and Wilmington was the primary place wherever the culture grew to a fervour.
