Saarloq could be a settlement within the Kujalleq municipality in southern Greenland. Its population is forty four as of 2010. It’s set on alittle island with constant name off the Labrador Sea coast, at the mouth of the Qaqortoq inlet, west of Alluitsup Paa and twenty kilometre south of Qaqortoq.
The settlement is that the southmost of the 3 settlements–along Eqalugaarsuit and Qassimiut–that created up the previous Qaqortoq municipality. The settlements ar presently ruled by a joint settlement council. On Jan one, 2009, the settlement became a part of the Kujalleq municipality, once the Narsaq, Qaqortoq, and Nanortalik municipalities ceased to exist.
