Shri Mukthi Naga Kshetra is one of the most famous temples dedicated to the Serpent Deity. The residents of this region refer to the place as ‘Junjappana Bayalu’ (Junjappa’s Field). The greatest attraction of the temple is the Naga idol measuring 16 feet in height (including the pedestal on which the idol stands). It is one of largest monolithic statues in the world. People from all walks of life come here to pray to the serpent god. Cubbon Park, Lal Bagh, Lumbini Gardens, Bugle Rock Park, Bannerghatta National Park, Hesaraghatta Lake, Chunchi Falls, Ulsoor Lake and Hebbal Lake situated nearby would interest the nature lovers.
