Okotoks may be a city settled on the Sheep watercourse, eighteen kilometres (11A mi) south of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The city may be a member of the Calgary Regional Partnership, a cooperative of communities among the Calgary Region. Okotoks has become a well-liked suburb for the town of Calgary.
The town’s name comes from “ohkotok”, the Blackfoot initial Nation word for “rock”. The rock being cited is that the World’s largest legendary glacial erratic that is settled concerning eight metric linear unit west of the city.Residents of the city ar pleased with their heritage. Varied previous buildings are fixed up, and one house was even resituated blocks away to avoid destruction by the widening of the road through the townsite.
