The Brisbane General memorial park additionally referred to as Toowong memorial park at Toowong, Brisbane was established in 1866 and formally opened in 1875. It’s Queensland’s largest memorial park and is found on 44 hectares of land at the corner of town Street and Mount Coot-tha Road about four and a 0.5 kilometres west of Brisbane.
Paddington memorial park, Brisbane’s original memorial park was set near the Brisbane town close to the northern finish of the William Jolly Bridge. It had been delimited by Skew Street, Saul Street, Eagle Terrace and higher Roma Street. As Brisbane expanded owing to its gap to free settlement in 1842, growth was such the memorial park was eventually enclosed by residential properties.
