Mauston could be a town in and therefore the county courthouse of capital of Alaska County, Wisconsin, u. S.. Mauston was based by poet M. Maughs. The city was originally named Maughs city once Maughs. The town’s starting was supported the lumber business of early Wisconsin. The history of Mauston is presently preserved within the Boorman House on Union Street.
