Elizabethtown could be a borough in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, twenty one miles (34 km) southeast of capital of Pennsylvania. Little factories existed at the flip of the twentieth century once the population in one900 was 1,861. There was a small increase within the next decade, with 1,970 individuals living in Elizabethtown in 1910. As of the 2000 census, the population of the borough was11,887. Elizabethtown is often noted in south-central Pennsylvania as “E-Town.” This nickname is additionally used for the native school and highschool.
Elizabethtown is home to Continental Press, oak tree Mills (an animal feed plant), Elizabethtown school, the Masonic Village, an outsized Masterfoods USA (a division of Mars, Incorporated) plant,Messick’s Farm and Construction instrumentation, and various smaller businesses. Several residents commute to the near cities of capital of Pennsylvania and Lancaster for work.
