Sayaxché may be a municipality within the El Petén department of Central American country, on the Río La Pasión stream.The city was supported in 1874 to produce accommodation for forest employees of Jamet Sastré work company. It acquire a municipal standing in 1929.El Rosario parkland is found simply east of the city. The archeological sites of Ceibal and Dos Pilas area unit placed inside the municipal boundaries.
