Muir Woods memorial could be a unit of the parkland Service on the seacoast of southwestern Marin County, California, twelve miles (19 km) north of city and a part of the sound National Recreation space. It protects 554 acres (224 ha), of that 240 acres (97 ha) area unit virgin forest redwood (Sequoia sempervirens) forests, one in all many such stands remaining within the city Bay space.
