Merrickville-Wolford may be a village-status municipality in japanese Ontario, Canada, situated in Leeds and Grenville United Counties. It spans each shores of the Rideau stream. This municipality was incorporated on Gregorian calendar month one, 1998 by amalgamating the previous village of Merrickville with the previous administrative district of Wolford.
The Rideau Canal locks at Merrickville with 3 locks have a complete raise of twenty 5 feet. On the side of the locks there’s the recent stronghold, that has been rebuilt by Parks North American nation as a holidaymaker website and depository operated by the Merrickville and District Historical Society. Within the last 20 years, the region has seen a boom within the native economy largely associated with enhanced commercial enterprise. It’s noted for its native crafts folks and artists.
