Bonifay may be a town in Holmes County, Florida, us. Bonifay was given its name from a distinguished family that had a brick creating plant in Pensacola, FL. Frank Bonifay, the person behind the town’s name, bought a stake within the LN, now CSX, Railroad. As W. D. Chipley connected the agricultural American state Panhandle, on the approach he came up with names sure enough communities the railroad bisected. The population was four,078 at the 2000 census. Per the U.S Census estimates of 2005, the town had a population of two,711 and in 2008 the U.S. Census estimates the population to be two,780. It’s the seat of Holmes County.
