San Francisco Plaza was name of 3 cities in Catron County, New Mexico, u. S.. Set within the point of entry watercourse natural depression, the cities were settled by Spanish settlers within the decade. Nowadays Middle point of entry Plaza is nearly non-existent; Lower point of entry is named “Lower Frisco” and higher point of entry was renamed Reserve once U.S. Forest Service headquarters were designed there.
Located within the point of entry natural depression, Reserve was named higher point of entry Plaza by its original Hispanic settlers in 1874. Apaches created frequent attacks on the community, that sit at intervals Apache looking lands. Within the late decennary Anglo settlers began inward. They renamed higher Frisco Plaza as Milligan’s Plaza once a city merchandiser and saloon owner.
