Gilboa could be a city in Schoharie County, New York, u. s.. The population was one,215 at the 2000 census. The city of Gilboa is within the south a part of the county and is southwest of Albany. The city was 1st settled around 1760. The city of Gilboa was fashioned in 1848 from regions taken from the cities of Blenheim and Broome. The name “Gilboa” is from a location in Israel.
