The Garibaldi-Meucci depository, at one time called the Garibaldi Memorial, may be a circa 1840 Gothic Revival bungalow within the Rosebank section of Staten Island, New York. It had been home to discoverer and candle maker Antonio Meucci (1808-1889). The Italian revolutionary and leader Giuseppe Garibaldi (1807-1882) lived there from 1851 to 1853.In 1884 a plaque ceremonial Garibaldi’s keep was placed on the building, with Meucci present. The house was rapt from its original close location in 1907 associated placed at intervals an exterior columned memorial tent, that was later removed. The memorial was dedicated in 1907 to mark Garibaldi’s a hundredth birthday. Since then, the positioning has been the placement of variety of protests and celebrations on the day of Garibaldi’s birth.A memorial to Meucci was erected within the grounds in 1923.
