Nogales could be a town in Santa Cruz County, Arizona, u. S.. The population was twenty one,017 at the 2010 census. The town is that the seat of Santa Cruz County.
Nogales, Arizona, borders the town of Nogales, Sonora, Mexico, and is Arizona’s largest international border city. The southern terminus of interstate nineteen is found in Nogales at the U.S.-Mexico border; the main road continues south into Mexico as Mexico Federal main road fifteen.
Known in O’odham as Nowa:l, the name Nogales means that “black walnuts” in Spanish, and therefore the walnut trees that once grew profusely within the pass between the cities of Nogales, Arizona, and Nogales, Sonora, will still be found round the city.
