Thirukalukundram temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and has beautiful inscriptions in Dutch, English and ancient Indian language. The presiding deities in this temple are of Arulmighu Vedagireeswarar and Arulmighu Thirumalaiyaludaiyar. The temple is believed to be a part of the Pallava Art and belongs to the period of 830 – 1100 AD.
