Wayne could be a administrative district in Passaic County, New Jersey, u. s., settled but fifteen miles (24 km) from midtown Manhattan. As of the u. s. 2000 Census, the administrative district had a complete population of fifty four,069. Wayne was fashioned as a administrative district by Associate in Nursing Act of the New Jersey assembly on April twelve, 1847, from parts of Manchester administrative district. Totowa was fashioned from parts of Manchester and Wayne Townships on March fifteen, 1898.
