Brownfield may be a town in Terry County, Texas, us. The population was eight,940 at the 2009 census. It’s the seat of Terry County close to Lubbock in West Lone-Star State. Per the us Bureau of the Census, Brownfield encompasses a total space of vi.3square miles (16Square kilometer), of that solely zero.32% is water. Brownfield lies within the Center of Terry County, among the southern portion of the South Plains and Llano Estacado. The town rests on a crooked deposit referred to as the disease Draw Formation, that is underlain by a thick layer of caliche, referred to regionally as the “Caprock.”
