French Lick may be a city in French Lick administrative district, Orange County, Indiana, us. The population was one,807 at the 2010 census. In early 2006 the French Lick Resort Casino, the state’s tenth casino within the trendy legalized era, opened drawing national attention to the tiny city. French Lick was originally a French general store engineered close to a spring and lick. A fortified ranger post was established close to the springs in 1811. On Johnson’s 1837 map of American state, the community was referred to as Salt Spring. The city was based in 1857.
