Lacombe may be a town in Alberta, Canada. It’s situated north of Cervus elaphus, the closest major town, and south of Edmonton, the closest metropolitan space. The town is about within the rolling park of central Alberta, between the mountain range foothills to the west, and also the blandish Alberta grassland to the east.Lacombe became Alberta’s seventeenth town on Sept five, 2010.
Lacombe is known as once prince consort Lacombe (28 Feb 1827 — twelve December 1916), a French-Canadian Roman Catholic Oblate missionary UN agency lived among and evangelized the Cree and Blackfoot 1st Nations of western Canada. He’s currently remembered for having brokered a peace between the Cree and Blackfoot, negotiating construction of the Canadian Pacific Railway through Blackfoot territory, and securing a promise from the Blackfoot leader butterflower to refrain from connection the North-West Rebellion of 1885. The Lacombe Police Service have policed the community since 1900.
