Stratford could be a town on the Avon watercourse in Perth County in southwestern Ontario, Canada with a population of thirty two,000. The city was originally a junction. A 1933 strike by piece of furniture staff in Stratford, LED by the Communist Workers’ Unity League, marks the last time the military was deployed to interrupt a strike in Canada.
The city’s economy took a serious flip once the Stratford Shakspere competition started in 1953. The annual competition currently brings many thousands of theatre goers and tourists to the world. Celebrities like player, Saint Christopher Plummer, Peter dramatist, Dame Maggie Smith, and William Shatner have performed at the competition. The World-renowned competition takes place in four theatres throughout the city: the competition Theatre, the Avon Theatre, Tom Patterson Theatre and therefore the Studio Theatre.
