Ukkusissat could be a settlement within the Qaasuitsup municipality, in northwestern Greenland. The population of the settlement was a hundred and seventy in 2010. Fishing is that the main occupation in Ukkusissat, with the fish process plant situated at the harbour; several inhabitants used at Royal Greenland.
Reinvigoration of mining activities within the near Maamorilik site−located northeast of the settlement on the northern facet of Perlerfiup Kangerlua−will give associate degree economic boost to the native economy. Tourism is underdeveloped, though throughout summer the settlement is visited by cruise ships, like Norway’s Hurtigruten.
