The Franklin Bridge – acknowledged informally because the mountain Franklin Bridge and originally named the Delaware Bridge – may be a bridge across the Delaware connecting City of Brotherly Love, Pennsylvania and city, New Jersey. In conjunction with the Betsy Griscom Ross, Whitman, and Tacony-Palmyra Bridges, the Franklin is one in all four primary conveyance bridges between City of Brotherly Love and southern New Jersey. The commissioned naval officer Barry Bridge in Delaware County, Pennsylvania and also the Burlington-Bristol Bridge in greenbacks County, Pennsylvania connect residential district City of Brotherly Love with southern New Jersey. The bridge is closely-held and operated by the Delaware Port Authority.
The chief engineer of the bridge was Polish-born Ralph Modjeski, its style engineer was Leon Moisseiff, and also the direction designer was Paul Philippe Cret.
