Porta Coeli (“Gateway to Heaven”) Convent church, or El Convento American state Santo Domingo American state passage Coeli in Spanish, is one in every of the oldest church structures within the occident situated in San German, Puerto RICO.
In 1609, the Dominican order engineered the Convento American state passage Coeli at the crest of a hill in what’s currently San Germán Historic District. Throughout the eighteenth century the Convento was reconstructed and a church engineered next thereto.
