The Smith-McDowell home is situated in Asheville, North geographical region. It’s the city’s 1st mansion and oldest living house, and also the oldest brick structure in guff County. The house was created in 1840 for James McConnell Smith. His girl wife Smith-McDowell bought the house once her folks died.
