Lakshminarayana Swamy Temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi. The temple is popular for its beautiful idol that represents both the deities in a combined form. The temple features South Indian style of architecture, having beautifully carved walls, mandapams, gopurams and ceilings. The inner walls of the temple are adorned with images of events from Hindu mythology and the vedas. Various incarnations of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi are also carved on the walls of the different sections of the temple. The shrine is counted amongst the important Vaishnava temples in South India. The temple also has a large water tank in the front. Devotees visiting this temple bathe in the holy water of the tank before entering the main temple. All the Vaishnava festivals are celebrated here on a grand scale, especially the festivals of Vaikunta Ekadasi, Rama Navami and Krishna Janmashtami.
