Singhori Wildlife Sanctuary, a most popular tourist destination of Madhya Pradesh, The Tiger, Leopard, Sambhar, Chital, Wild Boar, etc. are amongst the most spotted animal species here. On the Occasion of Shivratri, a fair is organized at various temples around the Sanctuary like the Bhandariya, Shiv Temple. Also places like Bhopal, Delabadi, Bhojpur, Pachmarhi are around the Sanctuary, which serve as wonderful touring spots for visitors. Forest Rest House, Bhandiv Forest Rest House Bumhori, P. W. D. Rest House, Bari are available for accommodation at the Sanctuary. Four-wheeler petrol vehicle or diesel vehicle, which is not older, than 5 years is the means of travelling inside the area.

HistoryEdit

The Singhori Wildlife Sanctuary was established in the year 1976 spread over a total area of 288 sq. km. Here Tiger, Leopard, Sambhar, Chital, and Wild boar etc. are the Principal Fauna and Teak is the Principal Flora. Shiv Temple, Choukigarh Fort Bhandariya Temple and Caves of Jamgarh are some nearby tourist spots. On the Occasion of Shivratri fair is organised.

Air : Bhopal Airport, also known as Raja Bhoj Airport, is 15 km away from the heart of the city. Taxi Cab will charge about Rs 150, one way. Bhopal airport is connected to Mumbai, Indore, Gwalior and Delhi. International flights to Gulf cities like Sharjah and Dubai are operated from Bhopal.
