7 | THE SCREAM
This is a part of a series of expressionist paintings by Munch. The background may be a landscape in Noreg, and depicts a screaming figure figuration the anguishes of recent life. There ar four versions, painted between 1893 and 1910. 2 of them ar currently in Oslo’s National Gallery, whereas another is within the same city’s Munch deposit. The fourth was oversubscribed in 2012 for near one hundred twenty million bucks. The oldest version (from 1893) is within the National Gallery, and was taken in 1994 however recovered months later. Another version was taken in 2004 from the Munch deposit, and recovered in 2006.
