The Nanda Devi Mela, Ranikhet is one of the attractions of Ranikhet, which is held at the Nanda Devi Temple, every year, in the month of September. This fair is of great cultural importance as it is held in the honour of Goddesses Nanda Devi and Sunanda Devi. The establishment of this fair was done in the 16th century, during the rule of Raja Kalyan Chand. The fair’s purpose was to bring prosperity and well being to this region.
