Schmidt ice mass could be a ice mass, 0.7 maritime miles (1.3 km) long, flowing west from Baudissin ice mass between Mount Drygalski and North West Cornice, on the side of detected Island within the southern Indian Ocean. To the north of Helmut Heinrich Waldemar Schmidt ice mass is Baudissin ice mass, whose terminus is found at the western facet of Corinthian Bay, close to Sealers Cove. Kildalkey Head is west of Helmut Heinrich Waldemar Schmidt ice mass. To the south of Helmut Heinrich Waldemar Schmidt ice mass is Vahsel ice mass, whose terminus is at South West Bay, between Erratic purpose and Cape Gazert. Schmidt ice mass was roughly charted in 1902 by the first German Antarctic Expedition below Erich von Drygalski. He named it for Dr. J. Helmut Heinrich Waldemar Schmidt of the Royal Prussian Ministry, United Nations agency power-assisted in getting government support for the expedition.
