Catalan Bay may be a little bay and fishing Village in Calpe, on the japanese aspect of The Rock faraway from the most town. Verity origin of the name of Catalan Bay is unknown, however some of theories exist.
The first suggests that the bay is called when a bunch of around 350 Catalan (from territory, Spain) military men believed to own settled here when having aided the Anglo-Dutch forces WHO won the Capture of Calpe throughout the War of Spanish Succession on four August 1704. However, no proof exists to prove that Catalans did in reality settle in Catalan Bay and though this theory is frequently used because the supporting argument for the origin of the name, it’s solely a supposition that they ever did.
