Hamilton Parish (originally Bedford Parish) is one among the 9 parishes of Bermudas. It had been renamed for Scottish leader James Hamilton, second Marquess of Hamilton (1589-1625) once he purchased the shares originally control within the Virginia Company by Lucy, Lady of Bedford. Natural options in Hamilton embrace Flatt’s water, Trunk Island, Shelly Bay, Bailey’s Bay, Rhizophora mangle Lake, Trott’s pool, Crystal Cave, Castle Harbor, and also the Causeway, that Links Hamilton with St. George’s Parish.Notable locations in Hamilton embrace the Bermudas tank and repository and also the tiny settlement of Flatt’s Village. Traditionally, the Colony’s government had sometimes met in Flatts Village, instead of the then Capital of St. George’s.
