Kermanshah Province استان كرمانشاه‎ Ostān-e Kermānshāh is one amongst the thirty one provinces of Persia. The province was identified from 1969 to 1986 as Kermanshahan and from 1986 to 1995 as Bakhtaran.
The province’s capital is Kermanshah settled within the middle of the western a part of Persia. The population of town is 822,921.The city is made on the slopes of Mt.Sefid Kooh and extended toward south throughout last 20 years. The builtup areas run aboard Sarab stream and natural depression. City’s elevation average regarding 1350 meters higher than water level.
The distance between Kermanshah and national capital is 525 kilometre. It’s the trade center of made agricultural region that produces grain, rice, vegetable, fruits, and oilseeds, and there ar several industrial centers, oil and sugar refineries, and cement, textile and flour factories, etc. The airdrome (Shahid Ashrafi Esfahani Airport) is found in north east of town, and therefore the distance from Teheran is 413 kilometre by air.
The province includes a made Paleolithic heritage. Several caves with Paleolithic remains are surveyed or excavated there. A number of these cave sites ar settled in Bisetun and north of Kermanshah. The primary identified physical remains of Neanderthal man in Persia was discovered in Bisitun Cave. Do-Ashkaft, Kobeh, Warwasi, and Mar Tarik ar a number of the center Paleolithic sites within the region.
