Menzel Temime is a town in northeast Tunisia southeast of the peninsula of Cap Bon. The municipality of Menzel Temime was established on 19 February 1921, the municipal boundaries stretching over an area of 25,000 hectares. A member of the Nabeul Governorate, it has 34,528 inhabitants.
The city was founded in the eleventh century by Moez ibn Temmime, a member of the Normans. It is an important economic center especially of the food industry (canneries of soft drinks) and the textile industry (garments, shoes and hosiery). It is a prime peanuts, tomatoes, and especially pepper harvesting area. Also known for its beaches, it hosts the largest weekly market in the country.
