Garijp (officially, Fries : Garyp) is a village in the municipality Tietjerksteradeel in the Dutch province of Friesland and has approximately 1900 inhabitants. Some residents of Garijp sanmigers be called, means that sand widdlers. Een andere naam die in omloop is, is klitsefretters. Another name in circulation is klitsefretters. Deze termen worden tegenwoordig vooral gebruikt als grappige benaming voor Garijpers die in het dagelijks leven weinig tot niets uitvoeren. These terms are now mostly used as a funny name for Garijpers in everyday life carry little or nothing.
