Hegebeintum is a small village in Ferwerderadiel in the province Friesland of the Netherlands and has around 115 citizens. There is a restored windmill in the village, De Hogebeintumermolen. Hegebeintum is also the highest artificial dwelling hill (Dutch: terp) in the Netherlands, about 29 feet (8.8 Mtrs.) In history people used this hill to fled on during high tide. They also lived on it.
