Bernisse is a municipality in the western Netherlands, in the province of South Holland. The municipality had a population of 12,684, and covers an area of 68.59 square kilometers (26.48 mile²) of which 11.25 square kilometers (4.34 mile²) is water. The municipality of Bernisse consists of the following communities: Abbenbroek, Biert, Geervliet, Heenvliet, Oudenhoorn, Simonshaven, Zuidland.
