Gabriela Silang Monument is a landmark of Makati City. This famous landmark is situated just hundred meters away from Greenbelt 4. This magnificent monument was created by renowned sculpture artist Jose M. Mendoza in the year 1971 for paying tributes to Gabriela Silang.
Maria Josefa Gabriela Carino Silang was the first to lead a revolt against Spain by leading her husband’s troops. She was born in Barangay Caniogan. This monument is taken as a reminder to all Filipinos that there is always a hero inside the heart. Most of the visitors of Makati City visit this monument for paying their regards to the hero.
