Upper Pangboche (to the left as you enter the village when coming from Tengboche) is a pleasant place to rest and relax. Visit the monastery at the center of the cluster of houses. About half an hour walk from the monastery are some hermits’ caves. Tara Lodge is a long time favorite with trekkers and lies conveniently on the path that passes through the village (right side).
