CesvaineCastleand park is an outstanding monument of eclecticism. The Castle was built in 1890-1897 according to the project of architects H. Grīzebahs and A. Dinklāge. The Cesvaine hunting castle is a bright sample of eclecticism which combines the elements of Gothic, Romanesque and Art Nouveau styles.
Next to it, the archbishop’s castle ruins may be found. The Cesvaine Castle Park contains about 70 species of trees and bushes. Visiting the castle, the basement labyrinths, climbing up the tower (117 steps), and a park with romantic landscapes. Creative workshop – making Cesvaine’s treasures with the help and advice of the artists.
Special excursion programmes for children and pupils can be organised, as well as a special wedding offer – the first champagne, waltzing accompanied by the corresponding music, special souvenirs, etc. Premises may be leased for different events.
