The twin beach of Mandwa and Kihim are situated in Raigad district of Maharashtra and are easily accessible from the commercial capital of India i.e. from Mumbai. These beaches are popular weekend gatway among the people of Pune and Mumbai. Every year lot of tourist including locals and foreigners comes here. The beaches are clean and environment is very beautiful. One of the main attraction of Mandwa and Kihim beach is that you can spend tent holiday at Kihim beach. Tents are available through out the year except the rainy season. Apart from beach, you can enjoy your holiday by seeing and visiting dense woods, wild flowers, rare butterflies and birds. Mandwa and Kihim beach is one of the perfect place for bird lovers. On clear day, one can see the stunning view if Gateway of India from Mandwa beach.

Alibag : Its original name was Shribag. This is headquarters of Raigad district. This city has got pleasant seashore. Kulaba water fort, Hirakot fort, an observatory are worth visiting. It’s Kanhoji Angre’s village. Mandwa Beach: Mandwa is so beautiful, untrodden beach. On a clear day one can enjoy a long, breathtaking view across the bay, up to the Gateway of India. Mandwa village too, has a charm of its own with its beautiful groves of coconut palms. Devotees of nature can get plentiful things done. Dense forest adorned by wild flowers, butterflies dancing on them, birds charms tourists. Chaul, historically important place is just 15 kilometer away. Remains of portuguese rule, ancient caves of Budha’s era, Juna Humamkhana, churches are worth to visit.

Taxi : Taxis are another way to get around town. They can be hired from nearby cities and used for local transport as well. Taxis charge around Rs 1500 per day. A/C taxis and SUV’s such as Toyota Qualis are also available.
BUS : Mumbai-Pen-Alibag-Kihim, 136kms. Alibag-Kihim, 12 kms,Panvel-Kihim 85kms. State Transport buses ply form mumbai to Alibag, and Alibag, Rewas to Kihim.
Train : Nearest railhead is Panvel at a distance of 85 kms on Konkan Railway.
Air : Nearest airport is Mumbai which is about 136 kms.
Others : Mandwa and Kihim beach is easily accessible from Mumbai. Nearest sea port is Rewas which is 6 kms from Kihim. Ferry service from Mumbai is available on regualar basis except rainy season.
