Detail InformationEdit

Arab fortress, reformed during the XII and XIV centuries. Its military character gives it an austere appearance. Formed by a walled perimeter with quadrangle and one cylinder tower. Accessed through two horseshoe pointed arches, framed in an alfiz. The keep was declared National Artistic/Historic Monument in 1943. Located in the parade ground of square floor plan with three floors with barrel arch roofs. The keep is dated from the XIII century when Priego was a command of the Order of Calatrava.
