It has a main building and two smaller buildings. The main building in Palma has archaeology and fine arts sections, a collection of books and documents, as well as administration services. Secondary building in Muro: an ethnological section, where some of the objects from the pre-tourism times in Majorca are displayed. Secondary building in Alcúdia: a Roman archaeology section, better known as the Museu Monogràfic de Pollença, because of its connection with the remains of this Roman city.
