Wai is also called as a town of temples beacause of large number of temples and its architecture which is thronged by devotees throughout the year. Some of the prominent temples are-
Dholya Ganapati Temple – Constructed by Shilahar dynasty s Sardar Raste in 1762, the Wai Ganapati temple is the most important attraction in Wai city. The temple is a significant pilgrim site which is known as the Dakshin Kashi of India. The temple is visited by the pilgrims to worship the presiding deity of lord Ganesh which is very big – as name suggests- and is situated on the beautiful Ghats of river Krishna.
Chakreshwar Temple – Situated on the Brahmanshahi Ghat and one of the four temples is the Chakreshwar temple where Lord Chakreshwar is worshipped.
Kaleshwar Temple – Situated besides the Chakreshwar temple on the Brahmanshahi Ghat is the lord Shiva temple of Kaleshwar.
Chimneshwar Temple – This is the third temple on the Brahmanshahi Ghat that houses the idol of lord Chimneshwar.
Rameshwar Temple– Situated on the Ramdoh Ghat is the famous temple of Rameshwar dedicated to lord Rama.
Chilavali Devi Temple – Situated besides the Rameshwar temple on the Ramdoh Ghat is the famous temple of Chilavali Devi dedicated to goddess Chilavali.
Mahalaxmi Temple– Located at Dharmapuri the temple Mahalaxmi is very famous and is particularly dedicated to Mahalaxmi, who is the Goddess of wealth as per the Hindu mythology.
Vitthal Temple – Located close to the Brahmanshahi Ghat is the Vitthal Temple dedicated to Lord Vitthal, a reincarnation of lord Krishna.
Ganapati Temple – Next to the Vitthal temple is the beautiful Ganapati temple near the Brahmanshahi Ghat and is dedicated to Lord Ganesh.
Shiva Temple- Located on the Gangapuri Ghat is the Shiva temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Devotees visit the temple in huge numbers during Mahashivratri.
Dwarka Temple – Besides the Shiva temple is the famous Dwarka temple on the Gangapuri Ghat dedicated to lord Krishna. The temple celebrates Janmashtami- the birth of lord Krishna in a big way.
Bhairoba Temple – The temple is dedicated to lord Bhairoba and hence the name. This temple too is situated on the Gangapuri Ghat in Wai.
Rokdoba Temple – The Rokdoba temple houses the idol of lord Hanuman which was built during the reign of the Marathas by Swami Ramdas.
Dattatreya Temple – Located on the Gangapuri Ghat near the Shiva temple is the temple of lord Dattatreya, who is a blend of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva.
Kashi Vishweshwar Temple – The Kashi Vishweshwar temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, as people believe that the temple is one of the holiest shrines in the region of Wai.
Vishnu Temple – Located at Dharmapuri besides the Mahalaxmi temple is the Vishnu temple dedicated to lord Vishnu.

These temples in wai are dedicated to respective gods and goddesses and hold significance in their own way. Most of the Wai temples are built in the “Hemadpanthi” style of architecture by using huge stone slabs is the major characteristic of Hemadpanthi architecture.
