The most important spectacle in the “capital of Bihar Country“ is the three-bayed Herpály monastery built in Roman style during the Árpád Era, yet a number of other valuable monuments can be found here: the Roman Catholic Church complex with its wonderful frescos or the old town hall now accommodating the museum. Even Ferenc Liszt played the organ of the Reformed Church erected in 1817. The key element of tourism of the town is the thermal baths and open-air lido.
