Built during the period of Mughal emperor Jahangir (1605-27) by his official in Beed Jan Sipar Khan in 1036 AH (1627), it is one of the largest mosques in Beed. Situated in the centre of the town at Quila (citadel) it has three huge domes and four minarets.
