Dimokratias Square is the central square of the city of Agrinio. The square was created in 1879 when Michail Bellos was mayor, with the older plan for the council of lower and upper (except Eirinis Square) square. For many decades, it was known as Bellou Square which was named after the mayor, one of the most important in the history of Agrinio.
Several streets that start at the square are named after Avraam Anastasiadis, Panos Soulos and Christos Salakos.
