Detail InformationEdit

The Museum was first opened in November 1995 in the old outhouses at Gardskagi. Many important items from the municipal history of Gardur are located in the museum, items which were essential for livelihood both at land and sea. A big part of the museum has maritime artifacts, objects which were used for fishing and processing the fish on shore. What makes the museum so unique is the engine collection of Gudni Ingimundarson. Over 60 engines of all sorts are on display and almost every one of them is functional.
