Detail InformationEdit

The village Dobra in Strzeleczki Community invites to see the remains of neogothic castle, at present it has been renovated. The first known object was built in XVIII century there. Its master builder was Erdmann Karol von Redern. Although, previously there had been a knight seat. As Roman Sękowski writes in “Herbarz szlachty śląskiej na przełomie XIV i XVw.” in documents of dukes of Opole there were lords from Dobra. From 1780, the castle belonged to the family Von Seherr-Thoss until 1945. The complete rebuilding of the object in neogothic style was in 1857- 1860 according to the project of Gottgetreu from Charlottenhof. In 1945, the palace burnt and became a ruin. 55 years after the war , the new owner started rebuilding the castle. The castle in Dobra is a great example of ruined buidling that regains gleam again. Since the castle is the new owner’s property it has been rebuilt systematically. The castle supposes to have the same neogothic look as it had after the rebuilding in 1857-1860.
