Detail InformationEdit

It is one of the most interesting nature museums in Poland and the biggest founded on the basis of a family collection. Any visitor will surely find something interesting to them, and the visit itself will be remembered as a great science lesson. The museum was established in 1989, and the collection is a result of Mr and Mrs Tomek’s passion for entomology, ornithology and hunting. The exhibits have been gathered mostly in the area of Ciężkowice – Rożnów Foothills, and the whole collection is exhibited in a scientific and educational form.
Mr and Mrs Tomek amassed a valuable collection of approximately two hundred bird species, nearly half a thousand of insects and dozens of hunting trophies. Furthermore, you can see a bat’s cave, examples of timber with traces of feeding insects, various plants from our forests and pictures taken by the best photographers of the region. The Museum also offers periodical nature slide-shows from expeditions to different corners of the World.
